Play Doh

Enjoying the day in our dining room. The boys are at play. They love to buy new things especially at the Dollar store. It's all about the next thing. Here it was playdoh day and then it's on to the next thing. In the olden days playdoh lasted a long time. It was put away carefully into its corresponding color container but now it's done and over with in a day. At least that's one day down.

In Eye of Beholder

It's not about perfection. Sometimes life offers up choices and things that are not in essence perfect but it is still valid enough to be considered and if things aren't perfect it doesn't mean that they are not beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to each his own. Our new house is a beauty even though the things in it are not perfect. There are many areas that beg our attention. There is a closet inside our main washroom with walls where wallpaper is ripped and the paint is chipped but this little flower is beautiful. It sits proudly next to the rips and tears. Unfortunately, bigger things have our attention at the moment but every now and then I take a look at this little flower and remember to appreciate the little things.

Riverfront

When heading down to the river we stop by at a restaurant with this fabulous view looking at the lighthouse and across to the USA. It's one of a couple restaurants right on the water. I was surprised that there were not more taking advantage of this great riverfront. Hopefully in the future there will be more restaurants and shops along downtown but if people here like to keep it small then that's how it should be.

Steamed Buns

Found this interesting recipe for Steamed Buns on the Internet. John made them a while ago. They were very good. You may want to try them.

Sunrise

Caught Jaxon peeking out over the kitchen table.
He's having quite the time getting around the house.
So much adventure to be had.

Some of the dried flowers from last year
that managed to hang on in the snow.

Morning sun caught from different part of the house.
Always nice to wake up to a sunny day
to warm up the chill in the air.

Ganong Chocolate Store

Got the kids down to the Ganong chocolate store. St Stephen is famous for the Ganong chocolatiers and is known as Canada's chocolate town. Tried to see the Museum they have at the back of the store but it was closed for the season. Still we got ourselves some chocolate to take home and we even found the Storm Chips and picked up a couple bags. The kids loved tasting some chocolate and picking out their favorites from the colorful displays.

Middle of Winter

Just a little photography display here with lots of snow photos. Although it was pretty cold I still managed to get outside and capture the beauty of our yard. It has many beautiful spots. I had company on the walk up and down. Loved the snow in the middle of winter but was so looking forward to spring to come.
