Adoption Stalled

I just read today that Russia may be putting on a temporary suspension on their adoptions into the USA. It was so sad to read Walker's mom's blog telling us that she already received the bad news that Walker's, a boy she means to rename Caleb, that his adoption has been stalled. There is no way to know which way this decision is going to go. So, far I've not seen that the suspension has actually been implemented but judging by Whitney's story it very well has been. I know it's unfortunate that some bad things have happened but what about hundreds of adoptions that go well and where children who were hanging on by a thread, starving from malnutrition have have been brought to health and blossom in their new American families? I can't help but wonder what this means for Marissa and Tera and others in this country? Does this mean they'll have to spend more time at the orphanage?

Spencer

Lo and behold the beautiful little boy named by RR as Spencer has been found by his family in Canton, MI. This little one has waited along time but as I mentioned before I believe everything happens at a certain time for a reason. His family had to prepare first and then do the right thing. I'm happy for Spencer that finally he will get to go home.

One little boy still waits. Langley's family please pay attention and bring your son home ASAP.

Angelica Found

She's the tiny little girl with the confused look. Hopefully soon that will be a look of contentment as she sits in the home where she belongs. All these children belong somewhere. It's just a matter of time until they find their home and a family who will love them. Some wait more than others. Why? We'll never know for sure but there is a grand design in the works and we can't rush it. Time is critical. Here are some children who still wait.

Sharing Sunday

I wanted to share today this sweet little boy named William with such hopeful eyes for the future. His dark hair and deep dark eyes makes for a very handsome little boy, looks very much like my own son at that age, a tender age when they still believe in Santa and that mommy can make everything all right. If only he had a mommy and a daddy. William was born on June 2005 and is at the orphanage in Russia's Region 9. He has Klinefelter's Syndrome which is also known as the XXY condition. It is a term used to describe males who have an extra X chromosome in most of their cells.

This is what is said about this condition at Medline Plus:

The syndrome can affect different stages of physical, language and social development. The most common symptom is infertility. Because they often don't make as much of the male hormone testosterone as other boys, teenagers with Klinefelter's syndrome may have less facial and body hair and may be less muscular than other boys. They may have trouble using language to express themselves. They may be shy and have trouble fitting in.

It is important to start treatment as early as possible. With treatment, most boys grow up to have normal sex lives, successful careers and normal social relationships.

IF this is something that would not stop you from adopting this beautiful little boy then please consider William for your child.
Thank you.
