Look at this little cutie who turned 8 last year. We are seriously spoiling this boy with lots and lots of presents. The party was for both boys however and his cutie pie little brother Jaxon also got some presents. They sometimes celebrate together because their birthdays are so close in the month of May. Jaxon turned 4. So there was no lack of presents for these two. We still had a little something for Jax on the actual day his birthday rolled around too.

Kiss
Here is a little kiss for you from Jax. He's keeping warm with his hoodie so when he goes outside to see the birds he doesn't get chilled. The birds were loving the bird feeder and came around all the time for another snack. It was nice to watch them flutter about while keeping warm by the fire.
Forsythia
Loving spring when flowers first start to bloom. There is a forsythia at the side of the house and their yellow blooms are so beautiful and inviting, just waiting for me to step outside and admire their beauty. There are many bushes at the side and really I don't know what half of them are.

St Croix River
Breakfast was this wonderful waffle and then it was a walk down by the river. St. Croix river was low at this time and water comes in later in the afternoon. It looks great either way and is always a pleasure to see and walk beside. There is a walkway that goes from the mid part of downtown and goes up a way. It's not very long but is enjoyable. Below are the many faces of the boys as they laugh and play.
Sherie
May has come around and it's a busy month with a few birthdays coming up. It's a nice and comfortable month for celebrations. So at the beginning of the month it's Sherie's birthday and we had a little celebration with cake and lunch. Of course as we get older we don't really want to highlight that another year has passed and we're getting older but it is important no matter how we downplay it because it was the date we came to be.
Taking it for Granted
Here perhaps spring was on the way. It looked like grass was getting green and we dared to go outside in short sleeves. This was last year and there was no illness going around so we were free to walk around the neighborhood and have a good time doing it. It was a different world back then and of course we take a simple walk for granted until you lose that privilege. So let's start taking everyday pleasures less for granted because you never know when it might be taken away.
Below is also a delicious dessert made by the Innkeeper John. It tasted as good as it looked. And right at the bottom is a really good photo of our little Buddy with his blue bow.
