Pier Renovation

Here is the pier on the St. Croix River. It was being renovated. It took quite some time to get it completed, all summer and a bit more I believe but the wood is really sturdy now and it's nice to walk around through all four corners. This is how it looked back then when the original wood was stripped.

Then and a Few Years Ago

I love this picture of Sherie where she held up a photo of her young self and as she was in 2016. It's quite a good comparison and I think she still looks like the beautiful little girl in that picture. Sherie has a  child of that age now herself, it's her son Brandon and he does look like Mama in many ways.

To Filter or not to Filter

Here I finally found some time to relax outside on the upper deck. I like sitting there when I can so I can watch what's going on down below and I can see the whole yard which is so beautiful in the spring and summer when filled with greenery. Below I'm playing a little with some camera filter just for fun while John made a cake. Later we went for dinner and before you know it the day was over, a nice relaxing one it was.

New Haircuts

Another day in summer, walking around and saw this beautiful bush. I'm not sure if it's a wild bush or something else but sure was pretty. Then met up with John and the boys who just got a haircut and they were very proud to show me their new hairdos. Below is one of the handmade junk journals I'd made back then. It sold soon after I posted it to my Etsy shop so I had to let it go. Then there is more of us and little Jaxon was ready for a nap.

July 1st Canada Day and a Film Premiere

This was back in 2019 on the day we celebrated Canada Day. The weather was cooperating, it was beautiful, sunny and warm so we walked around for a while to see what's happening in town. There was a celebration by the River, some things for kids to do, there was a cake to eat so we stuck around for the kids to go on the blow up rafts and things. Later after we came home we had a movie premiere of my film The Innkeeper, the actors were some of my family. It's a good try for someone who doesn't know what they are doing as far as directing goes or even filming. I managed to put it together so we all sat around and watch. Afterwards the boys recreated the final scene outside.
