Trip to Slavonija

 Next day we travel about three hours to Slavonija. We are heading towards Osijek and then the village where mom and dad met and where I was born, Ivanovac. Here are the lowlands, farmland and sun flower fields. It looked like it was the time where the sunflowers were done blooming and had dried, and the seeds were almost ready for picking. Plums trees too were filled with plums that were ripe and very near ripe. So we visited with my cousin Stefica and her family who were gracious  to receive us into their home and backyard filled with plum trees, and the plums were delicious.

To Zagreb

 Once again we travel to Zagreb to see mom and dad and then take another trip after that. Of course we pass more mountains and the town and the bridge of Maslenica. And then we arrive at mm and dad's to see them doing well.

Zadar from the Top - part 2

 This is part 2 of the previous post, more views from the walkway we found up the stairs. Eventually we get back into town and below you can see some marvelous  handywork by the Croatian ladies who do lots of embroidering and make them available for sale. Make sure you also take not of Charlie & Rosie mannequins in the window, lol. And I've also started a new abstract painting.
