Somewhere in the middle of town we found a Japanese restaurant with sushi and various meals. It was all new to me but I did enjoy my meal. I especially liked the steamed bun stuffed with spicy food in it. It was boiling hot though for a long time and I couldn't really eat it for 10 mins. I ate the baby bok choy off Steven's plate. Yum.
Couldn't have asked for better weather. Most days it was blue skies with minimal clouds. Because it was very hot, on some days I prayed for rain, but it only rained a couple of times and mostly at night. There was even some thunder however we did not hear anything due to we were hard asleep from all the walking around and fresh air we've been getting. Below are pictures from when we found a shortcut through a very narrow street filled with flowing ivy. It was so beautiful the way the sunlight was coming through it. We walked through it twice.
After a great dinner of tuna stakes prepared by Stevo, salad and swiss chard we got out for some dessert. Like you know, we've not had any lately. And we don't have to go far to find sweets of some kind, especially cakes. To work all that off, we took our usual walk around town at night. We came upon a Gallery of very modern art. The building was recently renovated inside and it looked beautiful. We stayed on the main floor then continued our walk outside to find a place for a drink.
Each day we try to take a walk by the pier, just to check on what the sea is up to. Strolling by the water gives you that little extra boost to stand up and take notice. Sat down for a bit too for a glass of fruit after all those other heavier meals. And yes when we get back we will have to cut back, as we always say. We shall see what happens.
We tried to pick a different restaurant for each outing and this time Steven picked it out. A place called Kod Stipe (at Steven's) so we tried it out. Lunch was good but we came at an in between time when restaurants change from lunch to dinner so in that case the menu is somewhat limited. Gotta watch that timing. Timing matters when it comes to food.
