When the heatwave is on there is nothing better than getting into the cold sea to cool off. Though in July the sea got a lot warmer than when we first arrived in May, it is still cool enough so we can keep up with the heat. Kristina enjoyed it as well, and even did some posing for pictures. I'm actually in some photos with my usual blue Croatia hat. My sister got a few of us before she went in. It's nice to see that I was in the water too. We also got a nice selfie together. Mom and Dad were still here at the time, spending time with their granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.

Photos From Above
Krissy and her cousin Lindsey and her children have arrived. The first thing on the agenda was... of course... the beach, swimming, jumping and splashing all around. The kids really had a good time and love the water. We spent quite a bit of time there and then later Lindsey used her drone to get some beautiful photos of the area from above during the day and at night time. The town is not very big but it chose to grow on the best part of the coast.
Rovanjska Beach
I wanted to go to the beach in town of Rovanjska because I saw on the Web there were trees by the water. Not all beaches have trees or if they do, they are little trees giving little shade. But in Rovanjska they were supposed to be large trees giving lots of shade and they were... big. I loved the way they bent or leaned over the water. Gorgeous. They gave the much needed shade in this summer's heatwave. The temperatures have no intention of getting lower. It's been over 35C everyday. We enjoyed the water, in the shade or in the sun and had a drink at the nearby cafe. Also very nice views of the town and the Velebit moutains. Krissy was in Shibenik at the time with her cousin Lindsey.
