Our Buddy

On Aug. 12. 2019 would be the last time we'd see our beloved Buddy. He had gone to be with his brother Junior in doggie heaven. Buddy was a good boy except the many times he tried to run away. He always thought the grass was greener on the other side and now he can see it for himself. We love and miss you little Buddy.

A Walk, Car Show and Fireworks

I think this was on a holiday weekend in August. The day had a threat of rain but everyone got out anyway to see what's happening. We took a walk down by the river and ended up downtown where there was a Vintage Car Show going on. So we looked around and took in some sights for a while. Rain held off so it was a pretty good day in the end. There is also a nice picture of our oldest daughter, Sherie. Usually she is camera shy so I try to get a portrait of her every now and then, The day ended with a blast such as the fireworks which we could see very well and comfortably from our second floor window.

Raindrop Webs

Summer rain is beautiful and somewhat magical on flowers, leaves and trees, creating intricate webs of sparkle as you will see in a photo below. Can't help but capture those moments we often seem to overlook in our busy day to day lives.

Blair House Pancakes

At some point someone sent us a newspaper clipping of the specialty of the house: The Blair House Heritage Breakfast Inn Pancakes. This recipe was created before us but it's good to know and good to have in our Blair House memorabillia collection.

Little Beach

A little beach getaway is always good. This one is not very crowded and easy to get to. The boys seemed to enjoy it. It was a lovely day too.
