After steak lunch topped with onions, tomatoes and pepper topping which we call "satarash" we headed to the Queen Jelena Park for another walk. We have to pass the Five Wells so we lingered there for a while, getting a closer look. It's where the good people of Zadar got their water way back when. When you enter the park and walk forward you get to see the whole boat marina, the red house and the Lion's Gate. This are they call the Fosha. It makes for a very beautiful spot with the ancient Zara walls still stand. This is just half of this day. I will do the rest in another post.

Sunset & Shadows
Another walk on the Zadar Riva during another gorgeous sunset. The light was still so bright it gave everyone and everything a golden glow. These two could've looked happier but Steve is not much for pictures so I'm happy for what I get. I love the pic of long shadows of the three of us in the sand. Below that at least, Charlie and I had our smiles on.
Vozi Vespa Display
We rounded up all of Stevo's Vespas for a photo shoot. These are some of the pics I got that day. The scooters, in all their lively colors look pretty impressive all lined up in a row. Very proud of Steven for working hard to get his business going in the right direction.
House by the Sea in Maslenica
Look at this beautiful house by the sea, in Maslenica. It will soon be ours. I can't wait to be able to get in it, but it won't be for another 2-3 weeks. The garden has an olive tree and two fig trees (smokve) which I love. I got to try one and it was delicious. They are just starting to ripen up. The house has a covered porch in the front and at the side where there is an outdoors barbecue. It is right by the kitchen door for easy transfer of the food to the barbecue and the outdoors table. The house also comes with all the furnishings. I will show the inside of it after final papers have been signed. We are super excited about this and hope that mom and dad will come live with us and experience this part of Croatia as well. We also want to thank my parents for making this dream a reality.
After driving by the house we took a walk to find the path to the beach. The one we found was through many small streets that zig-zagged its way to the beach. This is so the way back is not one steep incline. Thank goodness for that, otherwise Charlie would have to push me all the way up. At the beach we had a refreshing swim before heading back to Zadar, and another one of my art projects.
