Bus to Zadar

Meanwhile, back in New Brunswick, it's also a nice sunny day as shown from our porch. I'm going to miss all the trees and flowers this year but sometimes it happens. We are on our way to Zadar after a few days of me having a bad cold, passed down to me from my husband who was sick with it right after the plane ride. We took the bus to Zadar and Stevo picked us up and took us by the grocery store where we found some yummy things, and I didn't know KitKat was a cereal too. At the bottom are all the helmets Stevo keeps in the house for his scooter rental, VoziVespa. 

Visit to Mirosevac

On this day we took a drive to the Mirosevac Cemetery to visit with our dear aunt Micika who passed away last year. She is now joined with her husband who passed many years before. It was another warm and sunny day and the drive there and back was good. I found a nice black and white photo of my aunt and I once upon a time. We also stopped by our favorite grocery store, Konzum. 

Old Neighborhoods

 We've been walking around the neighborhood where I used to come to often and knew quite a few people, including some friends from school. We ran around on these streets and the field which now has a do not enter sign. I will have to find out what's going on there, because before it was a great place to climb trees and collect flowers on the ground and on trees which were so pretty when they bloomed in spring. There are also many new large houses and apartment buildings. The streets are much more busy with cars than what I remember. Here we are on one of the Zagreb hills so yes it's either a walk up these stairs or up the hill the other way.

Sunny Days Here We Come

 Our son Steven had come from Zadar to greet us on our return to Croatia. He loves  being on the coast where the weather is milder and there are more things to do. He already tried swimming in the Adriatic Sea and says the water is warming up. I need it to be warm by the time I get there, but first we're staying with mom and dad in Zagreb for a week or so.
