Joyride

One of the days my husband was home. Missed him a lot last year,
coming and going for work. Here we are out for a joyride. Now he's here for
good so I'm a very happy girl.
It's nice spending days together away from
work which is so different for us but we still keep busy
all the time, never a dull moment around here.

Keeping Cozy

This is how we spent some days when it was just too cold to venture outside. There were quite a few pretty cold days back in 2019 but always found something to do indoors too, keeping warm by the fireside. Some evenings the sunsets were pretty spectacular.

Twin Angels

I'm looking over my angels here. This statue I rescued from the garbage a few years ago and they finally have a nice place to be. The light that came in through the bay window on the second floor was so soft this day that I took pictures of the twin angels from every angle. They are so beautiful, reminding me so much of our angel twins Liam and Nathan.  Love you forever.

Winter's Day

Quite a nice winter's day here a year ago, our first year in our new place with plenty of wood to keep us warm on days like this. It was sunny but cold, still that didn't deter the kids from enjoying a little sledding wherever they could find a little hill to slide down from. Even I tried it but I needed a little helping hand from my daughter to get back up. Hopefully we'll see many more winters in the future. Love the snow when it's white and powdery like flour.

Light and Attic

This beautiful chandelier had to be taken down so the electricity
could be updated. It's big and heavy but looks beautiful
back in its place in the front hall.

Our very vintage door has seen better days. Eventually we will
updated it somewhat but I really want to keep
the original look as much as possible.

For some reason there is a hole in the wall from one
room to the other in the attic. We're not sure what it was for
but we will keep it for now.

This is almost like a secret room in the attic. It's quite a good size and below
are the steep stairs that lead to the attic.
It needs a lot of work if it is to be used.

Maya's 15th Birthday This Year

This year Maya turned 15. One year older. She is in grade 9 and doing well on her report cards. She seems to enjoy school and works hard on her homework.  She volunteers through school. Her braces have come off just about a week ago and she's so happy to see nice straight teeth. She enjoys eating out, watching TV shows, reading and playing video games with her nephews. She likes cooking and is trying out some dishes on her own. So, Happy Birthday Maya, hoping you'll work hard on making your dreams come true. I know you will. We're very proud of you how far you've come and we love you very much.

Maya's 14th Birthday Last Year

This was Maya's birthday last year, 2019. She turned 14. Her dad just made it in to celebrate with us. Maya has grown up so much and keeps maturing and being more beautiful. Here she still has her braces. At age nine she had very short hair and now it has grown to be very, very long. It was still pretty chilly outside and very snowy even though it was March and spring was suppose to come soon. It did not but Maya still had a wonderful birthday.
