The walk through the park with its many curvy trees and other greenery was very relaxing. I didn't know it was going to be a hike up to the top and almost gave up but then decided to continue and good thing I did, The view from the top was beautiful. You could see all of Zadar from there.
The park's name is Queen Jelena Madijevka Park, named after Queen Jelena who was the wife of King Michael Krešimir II, from 946 to 969. It is the city's oldest park. It has one ancient building with statues on the pillars. In the middle of it is a bar/nightclub where you can take some time to sit out the evening or continue to the top.
We did stop off for a light snack at a restaurant close to the bridge, had soup and salad. You know we should never go to bed hungry. Afterward we walked through town again.
