Soon after we arrived here we had to go to the police station to change some of our information and the police station is in Obrovac. This is a town just further up the coast fron where we are, about fifteen minutes drive. It's where the sea turns into a river called Zrmanja that runs through the town of Obrovac. We stopped also for a coffee at a small cafe. It's a beautiful and quiet area where people live in the valley of the Velebit Mountains. On top of one of the mountains are the remains of the Obrovac Castle, known as the Gardina Obrovac, with the Croatian flag waving on the top.
