Two lovelies

My grandson Brandon is into everything already, especially anything with buttons as you can see. Here he is fixing his dad`s laptop with a little help from his friend, Elmo. He does a lot of babbling and laughing and everyone is so in love with him.

Another little lovey, T is at the hospital in Moscow where she is undergoing tests for her upcoming operation. I pray all goes well with it and she comes out of it no worse for wear. She`s learning to read and write and her face just lights up with the surprises she opens up. I`m sooooo happy to be able to do that for her.

Waiting Wednesday

Today Wednesday is the name of a child given to her. Her photo is posted on their website but she is still waiting for her family to find her. She has Down Syndrome but is active and communicative. Although you'd not know it from her photo she is nine years old. She was born in January 2003 and would surely thrive in a loving and supportive family of her own. I pray that someone will give Wednesday a chance.

Thursday Thoughts

I found out yesterday that my packet arrived and coincidentally today I saw the family page of people who are out to adopt T and I found a story the lady wrote about the experience of birthing her son at home which did not turn out well. I feel bad for her not so nice experience so they are hesitant to have more kids. They say they are sure T belongs with them but me not so much, obviously, I wanted her with me. Some thoughts as to why have run through my mind but I can't really put my finger on it other than that. They deserve a chance and if T belongs with them she will be.

Daria K

So far I've been posting info and photos of many beautiful plump children who are lucky enough to be in an orphanage with enough food to fill them up but what about those that are malnurished in places where food is scarce and neglect a plenty? Are they any less beautiful or desirable? I found a few of those children who need loving parents on the double. These precious few need your attention NOW. Please see little Daria K who will be 4 years old in May of this year and no doubt faces the institution but just look at her. She looks to be no more than an infant but the eyes, those big beautiful eyes are filled with hope and desire to live a full life with a loving family who would feed her and take good care of her forever.

Forget me not Friday

Quite a few children were found by their families this week. It's been a good year so far that is for sure. As with some of you I also kept an aye on Michelle and Victoria, each girl such a pretty flower were ready to waste away in a place where the sun would never shine on them again. Thankfully, that will not be the case.

I've been scanning the pages of Reece's Rainbow, for someone who touches my heart in some way. Don't get me wrong any child abandoned and alone touches my heart very deeply but some sad faces grab my attention so hard that I can't let go.

When I saw the picture of little Angelica who was born in September 2009 I couldn't look away. Her sweet face seems confused and terrified all at the same time and I don't think her problem is she's missing some limbs. Her problem is she can't imagine whatin the world she is doing here. Her siblings are at home and she's not. Her dark eyes seem to plead for her Mama to come back and get her right away. Poor little Angelica needs a family ASAP to take her fears away with a lot of love and unwavering support.

Langley too is still looking for a family of his very own and I hope they are looking for him, very hard. Adorable Langley looks ready to join his family right now. I think he would do very well cuddling with a brother or a sister and maybe a puppy. This is what an adopting family says when they saw Langley at their daughter's orphange in December 2011: " I saw him today. After days of scanning faces, I walked into Bella's groupa and SAW HIM!! He is a doll. He is so cute! He looks healthy and is walking. ... Oh sweet boy, you need a mama!!!" So true.

T has a family

Pam just notified me that T was posted on the My Family Found Me page today. Thanks, Pam. That is so wonderful. I had an inkling that this might happen before her third operation takes place. Even so I sent her a package which should arrive in her city any day now. I wonder if she will get it. If she does I hope she enjoys it. She's a beautiful little girl with a soaring spirit who's waited far too long. I hope her new family treats her to everything life has to offer. Nazdravlje, mala.

OMG! LILIANNA FOUND!!

Lilianna, the little girl in EE who so many people have been praying for has been found by her family. This is great news for Lilianna who has been waiting patiently for her moment to flourish. I'm sure she will fit right in and come out of her shell when she finally feels what's it like to be loved by mommy and daddy and maybe siblings too.

***PLEASE PRAY FOR LITTLE MILA TO GET BETTER REAL SOON***

Sharing Sunday: Mark

Why is this little boy still waiting for his mommy and daddy is beyond me. His sad little face is turned away from the camera almost as if he didn't want anyone to see his shame, being orphaned. It's not his fault but here he is in an orphange filled with nannies and other kids in the same position and yet he looks as if he feels completely alone. I hope that someone sees the photo of this precious little guy and knows in their heart that he is the son they've been looking for who would be a blessing to their family.

Mark has Down Syndrome and here is what else it says about him.
"Mark is usually in good mood. He plays with toys variously, jabbers. He is active."

T's Fund Moves

Checking on T today I find that her grant fund has moved from almost five hundred to over fifteen hundred. Someone has been very generous with T and that is wonderful to see. I have made a different donation to her and I sure hope it finds its way to her. I've said it before that her little spirit has touched me as she goes through her operations without a mommy and daddy by her side. I know there are others in her situation and my heart goes out to them as well. T turned seven in October but is a tiny girl because she has a little trouble eating after her operations and drops in weight. She has one more operation to go and I pray she finds the strength to get through it.

Budi dobro mala. Nek te andzel cuva dok te mama i tata nadze.

Happy New Year

Happy 2012 to everyone. I hope lots of good things come to you all especially to those little ones at Reece's Rainbow who are still waiting for a family to call their own.

Like little Isabel who was born in April 2010. She has Down Syndrome but her pictures speaks of a very alert girl who would thrive in the love and support her parents could give her. This is what it says about he. "Calm and active. Not sitting, it is not necessary, turns in all directions. Shifts the toy from hand to hand. Interested in other children."

Keegan too needs a family. He grabs my heart because he has no smile on his face. This little one seems to be just biding his time until the day he is sent to the institution unless his family finds him and gives him a fullfilling life this litte one deserves.
