The Arrival Part 2

Here are some more wonderful photos taken by our friend photographer Holly Keeling. She came out to meet us at the airport with the others. I love that she got a photo of as many people as she could. I initially didn't think too many people would want to wait for us at the airport. As it turned out the plane arrived on time but the wait for suitcases was almost an hour. So we were late getting out of the gate and people waited. They were very patient and we appreciate it. During the wait Holly got some nice before photos and then of all of us after the arrival. Thank you, Holly.

Everyone had beautiful signs they made for us. It was nice of them to take the time to do this. Love the big heart on this one and that Brandon stood long enough with Mommy get his picture taken.

And here is the welcome crowd. We could hear them loud and clear as we walked out of the gate. I really couldn't see anything at first, it all seemed like kind of a blurr but the welcome roar from the crowd had me turning left and finally seeing the familiar faces.

The anticipation was so high. A friend of Maya's from China and her family were very excited to see her again. They met her during adoption of their daughter (in pink) when Maya Lanlan came along to support her friend.

And here are Maya's first steps, just got past meeting sister Sherie and on to meeting sister Kristina and everyone else who's patiently waited for her. I won't lie there there were a few tears from some of us during this emotional time.

In all the excitement of meeting new people and taking in all the new faces Maya remembered to come back to mom and dad for a little reassurance that all was well  because suddenly she had more family and friends than she knew what to do with.

And so old friendships have been rekindled. We hope that as soon as we're settled the two friends will keep in touch and see each other often. As well as new friendships will be blooming with her cousin Alyssa and future friends to come.
